Return to the '99 alumnae homepage!

Wherever you are, we hope you are exceptionally well.
If you're not well, call an old friend.
If that still fails, fly or drive to see said friend and order an Atkins Care Package
(see below) for each of you to help get through the rough times.
And then dance to "I Will Survive." Oh yes, ladies, we know the real you.

A message from the class president:
March 11, 2008: Our fab treasurer, Carrie, found our commencement speech by Anna Quindlen online. Were any of your conscious during the speech? My mother said it was fabulous but I was just in shock.

January 30, 2008: We are presently recruiting our reunion committee. Wanna be involved? Email the board and let us know.

CLASS FUNDRAISER - ATKINS CARE PACKAGES

Click here to download the form to send your beloved an Atkins Care Package. I send these to Lauren Hummel Hanson '99 every year for fixing my mistakes in my taxes after I mess them up. I'm sure you can come up with some witty reasons to send them, too

We want YOU!

  • Become a Class Agent and help us meet our goal of 50% participation per year.
  • Shape 2009 to 2014 -- join the Nominating Committee -- contact Jen (jgieseking @ gmail.com) for more info.
  • Interested in joining class board? E-mail the Nominating Committee (nominating99 @ mtholyoke.edu) about you or someone you know.
What's new at MHC:
  • Penny Gill was Dean of Faculty while Don O'Shea was on sabbatical. Now he's back.
Remember when the News put floating Don heads throughout the April Fool's edition our senior year? Now that was funny.
  • The Plan for 2010 (the Plan for 2003 is over as the administration never took lessons from us on procrastination...)
  • Last fall the newly redesigned Art Museum hosted: Diane Arbus: Family Albums, a major traveling exhibition developed by the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum in collaboration with the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas, offers an excellent introduction to the work of this pivotal and controversial figure in American photography. The exhibition came through years ago and was well received. For more information go to www.mtholyoke.edu/offices/comm/csj/091203/arbus.shtml. [Point of interest: I would delete this note but I know Kate Gordon loves her so it remains.]
More importantly, any '99 artists we should make a push to have hanging somewhere on the campus, especially in that newly renovated Art Museum?
